2023: Year in Review

Since BluePath’s inception in late 2016, 46 service dogs have been placed with children with autism and their families, free of charge.

Throughout 2023, BluePath provided an ongoing lifeline of support to these teams, with regular visits spanning from New York City to New York State through the Capital region, to New Jersey, Connecticut, and areas in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. Read one of our graduate stories here.

Our Paws to Learn Program reached more than 2,500 children and adults. Prior to placement, BluePath dogs engage with the community providing therapeutic support in schools, camps, residential homes, and day-habilitation settings. Participants receive the invaluable benefits of emotional support, mood regulation, improved social interaction, and increased physical activity. See animal assisted therapy as featured on the Today Show, including a surprise donation to BluePath from Chewy.
The expansion of our breeding program marks a significant stride towards achieving long-term self-sustainability. BluePath dogs exhibit exceptional health and temperament that increases their likelihood of success as service dogs. As we set our sights on an even brighter future, a primary goal is to acquire a property that can better accommodate our growing program needs.

We have engaged deeply with our community, actively investing in extensive educational efforts to raise awareness about our work. Our commitment to innovative partnerships has been instrumental in broadening our impact, opening new avenues of support and collaboration.

BluePath’s dedicated team has grown to include seven full-time and two part-time staff members, complemented by an army of over 150 volunteers. Together, they drive our mission forward with unmatched passion and devotion.

BluePath dogs continue to play a pivotal role in enabling families to engage in activities together, fostering a sense of unity and connection. This collective impact creates a tangible transformation, instilling families with revitalized hope.

None of this would be possible without your help. Thank you.
