RISE is a Regeneron peer community that provides the opportunity to establish personal connections, share internal and external resources, and participate in educational and volunteering opportunities to increase awareness, build and promote resilience in staff members and their families.
Resilience is viewed as a dynamic process of meeting challenges without stigma, giving permission to feel, and finding healthy strategies to keep moving.
RISE recently shared these tips on improving resilience, courtesy of the Mayo Clinic:
-
Get connected – Build strong, positive relationships to give and get support / acceptance.
-
Make every day meaningful – Do something that gives you a sense of accomplishment and purpose. Set goals to look forward.
-
Learn from experience – Think of how you’ve coped with hardships in the past. What skills and strategies helped you through rough times?
-
Remain hopeful – You can’t change the past, but you can always look towards the future.
-
Take care of yourself – Do activities and hobbies you enjoy, daily exercise, get plenty of sleep, eat a healthy diet, try stress management techniques.
-
Be proactive – Don’t ignore your problems. Start with steps to figure out what needs to be done, make a plan and take action.
BluePath is extremely grateful for RISE’s support of our mission.
