The company has sponsored BluePath’s Walkathon since its inception in 2017; we admire their team’s deep commitment to supporting local communities.

AvalonBay community supervisor Sefa Leston has firsthand experience with BluePath’s mission of providing life-changing autism service dogs as Sefa’s son Alexander works with autism service dog Ike.

“Our world was very small before Ike,” shares Sefa.  “Once Alexander started exhibiting elopement behavior, we were anxious and afraid to venture into crowds at amusement parks, the beach and street fairs. Even at school he would try to run for the exit. Once we received Ike, our world became big again. With Ike by Alexander’s side, we could enjoy family time without being afraid of Alexander taking off or putting himself in harm’s way.”
